EventGlobe live

A world map of things happening — festivals, sports, culture, arts, tech, food — that you can filter by date, category, and search. Anyone can drop a new event by typing a place name; it geocodes and lands on the map instantly.

Built on the same lean stack as Dig: a stdlib Python server, PostgreSQL, and a Leaflet + OpenStreetMap frontend (no Google Maps, no API keys). It’s seeded with a curated set of famous worldwide events and backfilled with thousands of live listings from the Ticketmaster Discovery API — currently ~9,600 events across two-dozen-plus countries.
